Italian-German WE-Heraeus-Seminar — Quantum Simulation with Ultracold Atoms
Dates | September 30-October 2, 2024 |
---|---|
Location | The Galileo Galilei Institute, Italy |
Organizer | Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-Foundation |
Topics | |
The exquisite control of the quantum states and of the interactions in ultracold atomic systems is offering new opportunities for quantum simulation of complex quantum systems. These simulations provide a unique platform for scientists to recreate and delve into complex quantum phenomena, often beyond the computational reach of classical computers, with impacts on both fundamental research and potential technological applications. This seminar will bring together the German and Italian communities active in this rapidly evolving field, providing a unique environment to exchange ideas and create new collaborations. |
